So John and I were discussing a variety of topics recently, and one of the major conclusions we've come to, particularly after the nonsense we went through losing our jobs, the house, etc., is that we have to:
a) make our own rules and
b) be confident in doing so
The more I think about this, the more I realize it is so ridiculously true. If we look to our friends and family and feel any pressures to do as they have done or as they hope we will do, we are only harming ourselves. Hippocrates said it best, "One man's meat is another man's poison."
So today, I am celebrating my husband's and my liberation from the norm and the expected or required.
We will do as we see fit and that will be more than good enough for us... and I would only wish the same for any children that we may or may not have.
That all said, Crazy Munchface here is lethally cute.
